As we journey into the future of public health, we recognize the need to build strong leaders in order to create a public health movement. The last few years have placed public health professionals front and center to be scrutinized, leading to a high turnover in our field. It has never been a more important time to build up our public health leaders. This is one of the reasons we were inspired to create RISE Magazine.
Emerging leaders in public health are constantly stepping up across Colorado. Since 2022, our goal in creating RISE Magazine has been to highlight, encourage, and connect emerging leaders as you continue to rise in this field. You are an essential component of CPHA and the future of public health.
IT'S OFFICIAL! RISE MAGAZINE IS BACK FOR THE 3rd EDITION!
Get involved in any of the following ways to best support RISE Magazine, and emerging leaders across the region. The first edition, released in May 2022 was a huge success, and we can't wait to see the incredible submissions we will receive for the 2023 edition.

SUBMIT A PIECE
We invite submissions from emerging public health professionals and students representing diverse settings (universities, community-based organizations, nonprofits, governmental entities, health settings, etc). All submissions are expected to align with the mission and vision of CPHA and address current, public health-related issues.
BECOME AN EDITOR
In addition to submitting articles and artwork, we invite you to apply as a RISE Editor. This volunteer opportunity allows you to gain exposure and experience while empowering other emerging leaders. There are no minimum requirements for an editor other than CPHA membership, but a background in writing and/or design is preferred.
PARTNER WITH RISE
Without partners like you, we would not be able to offer opportunities and resources for students and early careerists in your community. Don't see what you're looking for? We prioritize collaboration and would be happy to discuss options that meet your needs. Send us an email, and we would love to partner with you to highlight your organization!
