Session 1: Equity & Ethics for AI in Healthcare

Friday, March 27th: 11:30 am- 1 pm 

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is taking over the world… but is it good for our health? In this presentation participants will learn the benefits and ethical boundaries regarding AI. Utilizing an anti-racism praxis, we will unpack how racism was laced in the learning models of these machines, the racist environmental impact, and the ethical implications for historically excluded and strategically undervalued populations. How does this technology help and harm BIPOC patients and entire communities? How can public health professionals infuse this equitable awareness into improving social determinants of health?

Session 2: Simplifying Communication to Transform Equity, Access, and Inclusion

Wednesday, April 8th: 11:30 am- 1 pm 

Complex language and overcommunication can unintentionally exclude multilingual communities, peoplewith varying literacy levels, and historically marginalized groups. Clear and accessible communication isessential for public health practice and meaningful community engagement. In this engaging training, you will build awareness and learn immediately actionable tips to remove barriers, build trust, and make simplifying communication an anti-racist strategy.

Session 3 : Identifying Your North Star: Evidence-Based Health Equity

Wednesday, May 27th, 2026: 11:30 am - 1:00 pm

This interactive workshop guides participants in understanding and articulating why certain identity groups may require additional support. Participants will discuss what areas of data are meaningful, and they will develop a more nuanced and evidence-based approach to advocating for marginalized groups, strengthening their ability to promote equity thoughtfully and effectively.
