Building a Public Health Movement

It is so easy to fall into a pattern of apathy as we go through our lives. Our organization was born out of a commitment to address real societal issues, and face them head on. We have set out to uplift the public health workforce, our Colorado community, and those who deeply care about building the healthiest Colorado for all. At our core, we are pursuing transformation in Colorado by our commitment to anti-racism and equity, as we know this is pivotal to building a public health movement. CPHA is here to serve our community, and we believe that change is possible when we put our hearts and minds to it.

Our
Story

Established in 1938, CPHA is a 501c3 non-profit association representing Colorado’s statewide network of current and emerging public health professionals, organizations and businesses. We are the largest and oldest public health association in the State. CPHA is working to transform the health and well-being of Coloradans, providing the public health community–both individuals and organizations–a home, a forum, networks and opportunities to participate and collaborate in our core areas of work.

Policy and Advocacy

Providing opportunities for CPHA members to be informed and active public health advocates through the Policy Committee, our legislative trainings and briefings, and professional advocacy efforts, as well as plans for strengthening legislative work in key districts and increasing CPHA's state and national profile.

Professional Development

Expanding and strengthening the public health network in Colorado through support of networking actives, including educational and social events, recreational events, and other formal and informal learning opportunities.
