Melina Valsecia

Melina Valsecia serves as the Executive Director of the Eagle Valley Community Foundation (EVCF) in Eagle County, Colorado. Under her leadership, EVCF was named the Best Nonprofit of the Year in 2024 by the Vail Valley Partnership. Melina has launched transformative programs like the ELEVAR Program, supporting Latinx leaders and entrepreneurs, and the MIRA Bus, a mobile resource alliance providing essential services to the underserved population with 100+ partners in the area. She also leads The Community Market, a vital resource offering healthy food to thousands of residents at no cost while promoting good nutrition practices and environmental sustainability.

Melina’s academic credentials include a Bachelor’s in Human Nutrition, a Master of Public Health, a Nonprofit Financial Stewardship Certificate from Harvard Executive Education, and a National Certification as a Health Education Specialist. Her leadership has fostered growth in health, economic, and social opportunities for the community. Originally from Argentina, Melina has lived in rural Eagle County for over 20 years with her husband and two sons, bringing her passion for equity and community empowerment to everything she does.
