Christo Luna is the Deputy State Director for Mi Familia Vota, where he works to empower
communities and ensure their voices are heard in the civic process. His passion for policy and
advocacy began as a CLLARO Capitol Fellow with the Colorado House of Representatives and deepened through fellowships with the U.S. Senate (CHCI), the National Hispanic Medical Association, and the Piton Fellowship. These experiences solidified his commitment to bridging community needs with government action.
A proud Daniels Fund Scholar and Distinguished Capitol Fellow, Christo holds a Master of
Science in Health Management, Leadership, and Public Policy from the University of Denver
and undergraduate degrees in Biology and Spanish, with a minor in Gender & Women’s Studies.
He recently began his Doctorate of Public Health at Loma Linda University, focusing on
advancing equity and access within health systems.
Outside of his professional work, Christo enjoys exercising, cooking, traveling, spending time
with family, and organizing events that bring people together. At home, he’s usually
accompanied by his pet rabbit, who keeps him company while he studies and plans new
community projects.
