Lauren recently earned her MPH from the Colorado School of Public Health and currently serves as the Emergency Preparedness & Response Coordinator for the Larimer County Department of Health and Environment. A licensed EMT with a background in emergency response, Lauren is deeply committed to advancing equitable and inclusive access to resources before, during, and after emergencies. Outside of work, she enjoys playing volleyball, crocheting, baking new recipes, backpacking, camping, reading and spending time with her cat, Cheeb!

Katie Hammond moved to Colorado in 2023 after graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences. She completed an AmeriCorps VISTA service term with Immunize Colorado and currently works as the Health Events Coordinator at Jefferson County Public Health. Outside of work, Katie loves being outdoors, practicing yoga, and spending time with friends and family.

My name is Josh Wells, and I’m a first-year medical student at Rocky Vista University. I grew up in Colorado and completed my undergraduate degree at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. I’m interested in how thoughtful budgeting, organizational strategy, and community-focused planning can strengthen public health initiatives, and outside of school I love reading, skiing, and surfing.

Courtney Callidora Manthey is a biocultural medical anthropologist whose work focuses on maternal and child health in the Pacific. Her research centers on health equity, Indigenous data sovereignty, and community-driven approaches to women’s health. She is committed to translating anthropological research into ethical, accessible, and policy-relevant health initiatives.

Sagun Sharma, MPH, is a public health professional with six years of experience working in healthcare, research, and health policy. She is passionate about increasing access to care and improving health outcomes for marginalized communities through policy, advocacy, leadership, and collaboration. She currently conducts pharmacoeconomic and policy research to advance prescription drug affordability at the Colorado Division of Insurance, and brings strong expertise in health equity and translating evidence into actionable policy.

De’Janae’ Guillory-Williams is a Research Services Senior Professional in the CU Department of Family Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and serves as a Program Manager at the Farley Health Policy Center. She holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Colorado and a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Pre-Medicine concentration from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. De’Janae’ brings strong expertise in project management and qualitative research, with a professional focus on health policy research that informs equitable policies and advances integrated approaches to improve health and well‑being.

Shawn Marzan, is an Army combat veteran with 22 years of service and serves as Director of Street Medicine and Community Outreach at STRIDE Community Health Center in the Denver metro area. He leads community-based and street outreach initiatives focused on dignity, harm reduction, and access to essential health services. Drawing on extensive prehospital, military, and community health experience, he partners with public health, housing, and social service organizations to advance health equity across Colorado. He is a husband and father of 3 children.

I am a research development and program management professional at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, where I support NIH R-series grant development and strategic research initiatives. In addition, I hold an MPH in Maternal and Child Healthcare which I utilize working as a public health research contractor focused on sexual and reproductive health among incarcerated individuals.

I am glad to be a part of the Emerging Leaders Committee and serve as the Marketing Coordinator. I look forward to collaborating with fellow committee members to strengthen the outreach efforts, elevate community voices, and create sustainable change.
