In continuation of the February webinar, we will move upstream in our discussion of the built environment. We will explore how issues related to housing/urban growth/land development can contribute to economic and class segregation and in turn, shape our communities, cultures and other characteristics that influence inequities around chronic disease, mental health and social determinants of health. We will also look at what that means for us as individuals and how it can shape our interactions within our communities.

Mr. Anderson is currently a Population Health Epidemiologist at Tri-County Health Department. He specializes in understanding and measuring how communities, cultures, and the physical environment we live in can influence health outcomes and behaviors. In his current role, he is responsible for assisting the department with data analysis, GIS, statistical modeling, data visualization, data collection, mapping, graphic design, and presentations. Previous to Tri-County Health Department, he worked as a GIS Health Analyst at Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and as a Land-Use Planner for a private planning/architecture firm in Denver. Mr. Anderson has a Master of Public Health, Master of Urban and Regional Planning and a BS in Landscape Architecture.
