Nominations Committee Information

The Nominations Committee

  • Prepares a slate of candidates for elected offices becoming vacant at the next Annual Meeting preferably with no less than two candidates for each office.
  • Presents a tentative slate to the Board s to ensure approval so that the nominations for officers shall be presented to association members thirty (30) days prior to voting.
  • Collaborate with the Bylaws Committee in preparing the ballot format and to include a place for write-in candidates for each office.
  • Obtain permission of nominees to have their names placed on the ballot and to serve if elected.
  • In 2007, prepare a slate for President-Elect, Secretary, Director-at-Large for Public Health Policy, Director-at-Large for Professional Education.
  • Solicits nominations for CPHA’s Annual awards
  • Suggests nominations for CPHA’s Annual awards
  • Selects the recipients from the nominations received

The Nominations Committee is a time limited committee that plays a vital role in shaping the future of the Association.  It also has one of the most enjoyable tasks, recognizing and rewarding our colleagues for their contributions to Public Health in Colorado.  Please consider joining this committee; a commitment of little time will have great rewards.
